Support Through Court is pleased to launch a partnership with Royal Holloway by welcoming students from the University to volunteer with the charity between June and September.
Support Through Court is a national charity providing free practical and emotional help to people who must represent themselves in civil and family court.
Students from Royal Holloway will support the charity’s vital work at the Royal Courts of Justice and the Central Family Court in London, assisting people who are navigating the court process without legal representation.
Through this summer placement, students will gain valuable insight into the justice system and develop key communication skills. They will support clients in person, over the phone, and at court hearings, providing much-needed assistance while building practical experience relevant across legal and public service careers.

“This collaboration provides invaluable hands-on experience, helping students to develop key skills for their future careers in law and beyond. By supporting members of the local community through the challenges of the court process, this initiative not only fosters a sense of social responsibility, but also reflects our core values as a university of social purpose.”

Support Through Court relies on more than 1,000 volunteers to help deliver its services across England and Wales. As a charity, it depends on donations and partnerships to continue supporting thousands of clients each year.
