The Choir of Royal Holloway have had a busy time recently, as they prepare for two new album releases: Oliver Tarney's Lux Stellarum (Convivium Records) and Eleanor Daley's Requiem and other choral works (Signum Records).

Lux Stellarum (Light of the Stars) is a radiant new requiem for choir and organ by Oliver Tarney blending plainsong, scripture, and poetry by John Donne and Marjorie Pickthall. At once intimate and expansive, the work invites listeners to contemplate the mystery of the cosmos – and a God who calls each star, and each soul, by name.

“The Choir of Royal Holloway under Rupert Gough are typically exemplary in every detail” (MusicWeb International)

“Performed with typical excellence by Rupert Gough and The Choir of Royal Holloway... Lux Stellarum is a striking work.” (Laudate Magazine)

Eleanor Daley's Requiem and other choral works, for release on 7 November 2025 on Signum Records, brings together works inspired by biblical texts, poetry and timeless prayers - including the award-winning Requiem, Grandmother Moon, Upon Your Heart and Open Thou Mine Eyes - performed by the renowned Choir of Royal Holloway under the direction of Rupert Gough.
