Music rises to 7th place in Complete University Guide 2026

The Department of Music at Royal Holloway has climbed to 7th place in the Complete University Guide 2026, solidifying its position among the UK’s Top 10 institutions for studying music.

The Complete University Guide is a leading UK university rankings publication that helps prospective students compare institutions based on key measures like academic reputation, student satisfaction, research quality, graduate prospects, and entry standards.

Published annually, the CUG ranks universities by subject as well as overall, using data from sources like the National Student Survey (NSS), Research Excellence Framework (REF), and graduate employment statistics.

It’s one of the "big three" UK university league tables, alongside The Guardian University Guide and The Times/Sunday Times Good University Guide.

The Department of Music's ranking 7th in the 2026 guide reflects its strong performance in these areas.
