In August 2025, Royal Holloway welcomed seven In2STEM students for a summer placement programme.
As part of their time with us, the Year 12 students spent a day with technicians, getting hands on experience of a range of activities and learning about the role of technicians in research and higher education.
The students got to see how VR headsets are used in research and their clinical application, tested their drone flying skills, carried out DNA extractions, and learned how pollen can be an important tool in both environmental analysis and forensics.
