Royal Holloway’s campus in Egham recently featured in the second series of BBC1’s legal drama series “The Split”.
The six-part series follows the lives of the Defoe family, a family of divorce lawyers, all of whom work for the family firm aside from the eldest sister, who works for a rival law firm, Noble Hale. The second series sees the return of the Defoe family at the newly merged law firm, Noble Hale Defoe.
During the course of the drama, viewers will see Royal Holloway’s state-of-the-art Windsor Building auditorium, which was used to stage a mock court room in a fictitious Law School, as well as the upstairs foyer, which features in a dramatic husband and wife scene.
Royal Holloway’s distinctive Founder’s Building and stunning grounds have proved to be a popular location in the production of a range of TV shows and film including Great British Railway Journeys, Cheat (ITV), Avengers: Age of Ultron, Downtown Abbey and Midsomer Murders.
